| The KITTS programme implemented a full e-commerce solution, enhancing communications and processes for Sam Leisure. IT Graduate, Tom Madden, graduated from the University of Central England with a First Class Honours Degree in Computer Networks for Business. His studies have been an excellent foundation for his work placement programme at Coventry-based, Sam Leisure, as the programme objectives address e-commerce solutions. Sam Leisure supplies pool tables, air hockey tables, and associated games equipment to dealers throughout the UK. The business needed to move forward to increase turnover and develop strategic business plans. The KITTS programme sought to make itself more customer-friendly through an e-commerce and card payment facility. It also wanted to enhance its web development and initiate search engine optimisation. www.leisure-shop.com is now a dynamic website, with a full, visual product-portfolio and purchasing capability. Business revenue has increased as a result of the programme, ordering processes are being streamlined, improving cash flow; and new technologies are being implemented, and training opportunities being identified for company personnel. A new Customer Relationship Management system has also been implemented, with key competitor analysis. New market sectors are also being identified, with the objective of marketing products to the home, end user markets. Customer and buying behaviour patterns are also being analysed. Business strategies and best practice procedures are being implemented for future development. Tom has also undertaken advanced software staff training to enable ongoing supervisory training across the company team. "The KITTS programme had a great impact in making the website good, and made us get our act together. We highly recommend the scheme to other companies" said Graham Rimmer, Business Manager, Sam Leisure. |
